Release notes
Written for engineers upgrading a real app: breaking changes and migration steps first.
v1.4.0-alpha01
Latest2026-08-31Current published release: every SKOne artifact is available on Maven Central under com.thesubodhgupta.skone at 1.4.0-alpha01, version-aligned by skone-bom. The release focuses on public API hygiene and Compose accessibility.
No migration required for public API consumers: bump the SKOne version (or the skone-bom platform coordinate) to 1.4.0-alpha01. Types marked @SKInternal are framework plumbing and are not part of the consumer API.
Features
- Compose accessibility: contentDescription, testTag and heading semantics on SKOne widgets.
- SKTextField accessibility unified — the primary editable node owns the relevant semantics.
- Required fields expose required/stateDescription semantics.
- Disabled and readOnly behaviour documented and applied consistently.
- IME Next/Previous focus handling across form fields.
- Accessibility capability documentation published alongside the release.
- Getting Started documentation restored and improved.
Fixes
- Public API hygiene pass across the published modules.
- @SKInternal annotation hygiene for framework plumbing and default implementation packs.
- Theme default implementation cleanup.

v1.3.2-alpha04
2026-08-25Every SKOne artifact is available on Maven Central under com.thesubodhgupta.skone at 1.3.2-alpha04, version-aligned by skone-bom.
No migration required: bump the SKOne version (or the skone-bom platform coordinate) to 1.3.2-alpha04.
v1.3.2-alpha03
2026-08-24Improved SKTextField Compose UX, published to Maven Central under com.thesubodhgupta.skone at 1.3.2-alpha03.

Features

- Label transitions between resting and floating states as the field gains focus or content.
- Improved focus, hint, supporting-text, error, disabled and required states.

- Theme engine no longer recomposes the whole tree on a single token change.
